Coral Reef Rescue Portal
Worldwide, coral reef ecosystems are in crisis. The GEF 7 CRR project has launched the Coral Reef Rescue Portal to support conservation teams on the ground.
The portal brings together existing coral reef data and resources in an accessible format to support the long-term survival of climate refuge coral reefs.
Drawing on over 70 existing resources, the Coral Reef Rescue Portal links science with decision-making and supports collective efforts to save our coral reefs through informed action and information sharing.
Understanding the physical, ecological and socio-economic trends within climate resilient coral reefs and connected ecosystems is key for the success of management strategies. There is a critical gap between existing science and data resources to on-the-ground decision-making for coral reef management.
This portal links government, Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), local communities and field operators with relevant data, platforms and other digital tools to promote data-driven decision-making, inform action and facilitate information sharing.
Discover tools and information to manage, monitor, protect, and learn about coral reefs.
